"The Americans" is a fast-paced, absurd, multi-media sketch comedy show parodying American family, politics, and culture.
When money problems hit the once wealthy Americans, the family members scramble to gain control of their crumbling world.
Republican dad Sam takes desperate measures to reverse his growing credibility gap.
Left-wing mom Libby vows to maintain the household's feng shui.
Spoiled daughter Mary chases celebrity while fending off advances from her boyfriend Ira Raq.

variety show satirizing dysfunctional America at the crossroads of the 2008
election.

with Anna Moore (ACT, FringeNYC) and Anne Teutschel (Shoot The Messenger,
FringeNYC).
THE
COMPANY
UP TOP PRODUCTIONS is a theater and video
production company founded by Jeff Kreisler, Anna Moore, and Anne Teutschel
nearly a decade after the trio first met in San Francisco.
Now living in New York City, Kreisler,
Moore, and Teutschel boast a variety of theatrical and video collaborations
among them, including Little
Murders in
San Francisco, Shoot the Messenger in New York, and The Mirror online.
However, not until the creation of THE
AMERICANS have all three creative minds come together to bring their insight
and humor across the pond to the Edinburgh Fringe.
THE
PERFORMERS
Jeff Kreisler (SAM and OTHERS), a writer
for Comedy Central's Indecision2008 and winner of the Bill Hicks Spirit Award
for Thought Provoking Comedy, Jeff has his own political comedy tour (Comedy
Against Evil),
syndicated humor column and video (Funny Money), and book deal with
Harper Collins (Get Rich Cheating). He
recently performed with the major US Presidential candidates, is in the staff
and cast of the new show from the creator of The Daily Show (Shoot The
Messenger),
had a 5-star show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and was just invited to the
Glasgow International Comedy Fest.
He went to Princeton, Exeter, and Virginia Law School, has performed on
TV and radio, was an all-league football player, taught English in Russia, jams
blues on the alto sax, and loves asparagus.
Anna Moore (MARY and OTHERS) is a New
York City based actor, writer, and producer. New York credits: As You Like
It (Rosalind)
and The Learned Ladies at The Gallery Players; Week 38 of 365 Days/365 Plays at New World Stages and The
Public (Engine37); Site-Seeing (FringeNYC); The Crucible (Columbia Stages); Chez
Moi (Infinite
Stage); and Sky: Nikita Mistkevich (Culture Project's' Impact Festival). Regional credits:

Anne Teutschel (LIBBY and OTHERS) is an
accomplished performer, casting professional, producer and educator. Currently,
she performs and writes for "Shoot the Messenger", a production
from the co-creator of The Daily Show w/ Jon Stewart. Anne has performed in numerous
productions from San Francisco to New York including FringeNYC. She's worked
on ABC's Dirty Sexy Money, NBC's Kidnapped as well as projects for HBO
and the CW networks. Other projects include the feature films The Tourist
starring Ewan McGregor, Adventureland, and many productions with the award-winning Public
Theater in NYC. At present, Anne is a professor of theatre and speech at City
College in New York. She received her MFA in Theatre from Sarah Lawrence College
and Bachelors from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
